HOLIDAYMAKERS want their accommodation to be central, affordable and comfortable.

Sandcastles Holiday Apartments at popular Coffs Harbour ticks all three boxes.

The apartment block is across the road from Park Beach and that puts it right in the heart of Coffs Harbour.

Sandcastles offers visitors 34 two-bedroom and one one-bedroom fully self-contained holiday apartments.

All of the apartments are within walking distance of local shops and award-winning restaurants.

The apartment block is surrounded by well-maintained gardens and that includes a miniature rainforest comprised of staghorns and birds nest ferns, and set on a pine-bark floor that is edged with pine logs.

Banana plantations now line the backdrop to Coffs Harbour, a holiday mecca that is home to more than 60,000 people.

The site was originally discovered by captain John Korff as he sought safety from a storm.

He named the place Korff's Harbour. This was later gazetted as Coffs Harbour, the result of an unintentional spelling mistake.
