So Declares Invite

MELBOURNE Lord Mayor John So will declare the free tickets and accommodation given to him by the Chinese Government for the Beijing Olympics on the council's pecuniary interest register.
Cr So will attend the closing ceremony as a guest of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council of China. The office invited Cr So in admiration of his success as a Chinese expatriate. Cr So said he was honoured to receive the invitation. -- KATE LAHEY
